Our new pet!

This past weekend when Colleen's Mom was in town, she wanted to take us shopping for a new housewarming gift. Colleen has had her eye on this new pet for a few weeks now. The idea of having this pet would be awesome as you would not have to worry about crumbs falling on the floor any more, or even sweeping around the house. It eats every thing up. So Colleen's Mom thought that this would make a great pet, and bought us one. Enter Rosie our pet robot! Ok well its kind of like a pet we named it and everything, the best part is it picks up its own poop, so people like Nick don't spread it across the whole house. Rosie's heritage is from iRobot, kind of like the movie I guess, but I don't see these little guy going crazy, and if he does hopefully she won't get jealous of the big TV, and try to take it out.

Rosie even makes sounds to tell us what she's up to: listen here

My Back and my Neck

Woo hoo! My new desk!

Through the power of craigslist, I found this great new desk for our apartment. Computing has never been better, with so much space, and support for my freakin' heavy monitor. It's so much better then laying of the floor typing.

Also: Posted pictures from Matt's Wedding. I only got a few as my battery died :( But it was a fabulous event, and so much fun.

Damn Fine Print!

Yesterday I was very excited to get my new wireless access point in the mail from Overstock.com, and be able to hook it up to my ReplayTv so I can view my recorded shows on the new big screen. Currently I have it all setup to my computer upstairs. So I took apart my configuration and had it all set up to the new TV. All that was left was to hook up the wireless bridge. Everything was looking good till I pulled out the power supply, Freaking European PLUG!! ARG! So I call overstock.com and they guy says they are out of them but I can just return it, and apparently it said at the every end of the description, includes German plug, US adaptor not included. So dirty!

Status: Going to return it.

Next I was talking to my co-workers and they convinced me to just get a converter tip from radio shack ($4 not bad), or see if any of my old power supplies were the same voltage. Well I did both and got the unit working! Yee Haw! Next step to get it configured.

Status: Keeping the sucker!

So while I am trying to get this thing configured I was getting pretty lost, and called upon David Vo to help, as he had one set up in his old place. So after a few configuration steps, he says now go under where it says bridging, bridging? What, there is no bridging... Oh you must have v1, and not v2, it only works in v2.. :( back to square one.

Status: Sent it back today...

Better Blog

Ok so I haven't written much lately, mainly I am not to sure if anything that exciting has been going on. I did get a new 50" TV that I am quite excited about, but I know that I called almost everyone I know when I got it, so there wasn't much to blog about it :). Soon I will post a picture of it. But anyways so just so you don't feel sad I found a blog that is pretty funny to read, and think you all should check it out. Its Zach Braff Blog, the guy who did the garden state movie, and better yet JD from Scrubs. If you like the witty humor on that show, his entries are just like it!
