Costa Rica: The Caribbean
So the adventure continues, We all made it down from tamarindo, south Manual Antonio national park area. It was really nice, and the beach there was very tropical feeling with the rain forest coming up to the sand. On one of the hikes we got to see some monkey up in the trees, they are pretty neat to watch. Sadly because of all the rain there was not snorkeling.
After that we stopped off in San Jose and dropped Colleen off to fly home, and Andrew and I headed off for the Caribbean side.
So the Caribbean side, puerto viejo, is like a different place, very warm and tropical apparently it hasn't rained here at all, and October is one of the best months for scuba. Today we did 2 dives and the water was 30 degrees Celsius, that's like 85 degrees. crazy and the visibility was like 50-60 feet. So Andrew and me decided to go for it and get certified PADI divers, kind of pricey about $350, but we figured we have nothing else to do, and it would be cool to do in here in nice water. So we are doing 2 more dives tomorrow and then I think have 3 more book chapters and a mini test. so sadly i have to go back now and study/ do homework for tomorrow. So I think we will be here in porta vejo most of the week at least till Friday.
The fish here are pretty neat looking maybe not in the quantity that Hawaii has but there are lots of different types, and I did use my underwater digital camera, and I think i got a few good shots. We will have to wait to see when I get back home next week.

It sounds like you are having SO much fun. What is PADI? Are there different levels of scuba certification?
