To Dream the Impossible Dream

Dream Workshop
A Tokyo based company has come up with what they categorize as a "toy" that will allow you to help suggest what your dream that night will be about. It uses some light and a recorded suggestion to help you remember your deem topic when you are sleeping in the right state. If my abnormal psychology class pays off I think it was REM sleep, but then again my grade was just ok in that class :). Anyways how cool would this toy be to have! But come on everyone, you know you would just want crazy sex dreams. So I am sure that it will be bundled with a Jenna Jamison DVD when it hits the states j/k. I wonder what would happen if more then one person is sleeping in the same room.. crazy twilight-zone stuff...

Oh yeah the down side is its about $136 and in their study it only worked about 22% of the time.

Ironman Rob the 3rd

Tomorrow around 7am in Idaho, my brother-n-law, Rob Pizzurro (BIB NUMBER 771), is going to do more exercising then I will all year, maybe even in a life time. His is going to compete in his 3rd Ironman triathlon this time held in Coeur d'Alene Idaho.
For those of you that aren't quite sure what and Ironman consists of here you go: 2.4 Mile Swim, 112 Mile Bike Ride, then if that was not enough fun a 26.2 Mile run. Robs last Ironman only took him 13:56:02. Yep those are in Hours!

GOOD LUCK Rob!

And as our high school's cross country track team's t-shirts said "The pride lasts longer then the pain!"

Weekend Happs

Well I though I would write up some what I did this past weekend. So here goes:

Saturday, was a pretty lazy day. The only think I had planned on doing was going to our end-of-season softball bbq. So about 4pm I showered and went over to Deb's house which was a duplex, but has been opened up to one house. It's pretty crazy as they have two kitchens. But one really nice feature is that the 2nd living room they made into a game room, so they have a pool table and a small TV mounted on the wall. The bbq was fun, and we even had some planned activities like a 5 year olds birthday party. But they were fun and there were prizes! Sadly I did not win at any of them but did manage to get the water balloon toss to break right on my face, it covered about half my shirt and jeans. Lucky for me that it was a nice overcast day in Santa Barbara. In the end there was a pinata that we had a good time beating up, and inside were little green army men, Abba-Zaba (my only friend), Big Hunk, and fortune cookies. Please note for other future pinata stuffers, breakable cookies are not a smart thing to put in inside a box you are going to beat to death with a baseball bat!

Sunday, was lazy day part two. Colleen and I got moving early in hopes of catching lunch at the Caribbean festival at oak park, but turns out it was only on Saturday. But we were still hungry and decided CPK would successfully quench our hunger. In a bold move to keep with the Caribbean theme I got the Jamaican Jerk Chicken pizza. It was really good, I think it might even be my new favorite dish there. It must have been the spicy sweet Caribbean sauce. Yum!

The Truth behind the Piston's NBA championship

After watching the last NBA series of the Laker vrs. Pistons, where the Laker's proved to be more like "the fakers" as my co-worker put it, It just seemed to surreal to be true. Unless it was a government conspiracy! Take a look at these two pictures!

AKA Larry Brown  AKA ARVIN SLOANE

Try to tell me that they aren't the same crazy man, working for some top secret government agency!

Supersized Yahoo!

Yahoo! Upgrades E-Mail Capacity to 100 MB

Sweetness, in an effort to keep up with google's new gmail, another free email service which gives the user 1 gig of storage, Yahoo today launched a new makeover of their own email system. I was plesently surprised this morning when i logged into my Yahoo account. I now only take up 4% of my inbox! And now we can send up to 10 megs of attachments, now no more sorry my digital pictures are to large to send to you, I will have to use my work account. Also their interface looks nice, and there seems to be more features, like importing of contact lists.

Who's Torch is it?

So this afternoon we were heading out to lunch to try out the Pita Pit in IV, and as we turned the corner from Hollister on to Los Carneros we were very confused to see a group of people running with gold torch. They were all wearing matching shirts and even had police escorts. We were thinking like holy crap was that the Olympic torch we just saw! That would be pretty sweet.

After consuming our Pita Pit lunches ( side rant here )which was ok, but the service people there aren't up on their own menu, I mean when I order a Philly steak pita, and then they ask me what ingredients I want to put on my pita. How the hell should I know what to put in it! I said I want whatever comes on the Philly pita. Finally someone else chimed up and said its mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, and cheese. Phew!

Ok so once I got back to work I put the internet to good use. Our first dream of seeing the torch was put to rest by the fact that the Olympic torch is in Beijing as of today. A few more googling and I found it. Yes what we witnessed is some of our favorite people blended together.. We had the Guardians of the Flame! Cops Running to raise money for the special Olympics. Oh well I guess it's a worthy cause.
